Emma Thorpe- President

Hello, my name is Emma Thorpe and I am serving this year as the El Capitan FFA chapter president. For the last three years I have been apart of the parliamentary procedure team, farm records, agriscience, public speaking and have shown two pigs and a steer. During my time in the FFA, I have held numerous leadership roles as our chapter delegate, vice president, and president, San Diego Section Vice President, and Southern Region President. Outside of the FFA, I am involved with our schools ASB, V-Crew, and Class of 2020 president. I am also very involved with the community volunteering at the VFW and any community event. I am so excited to meet the members of El Capitan FFA and illuminate the amazing opportunities this organization offers.


Trenton Thompson- Vice President

Hi, there! I’m so excited to serve as this year’s Chapter Vice President. Over the past 3 years that I have been in FFA, I have prepared for and held many leadership positions that have all culminated in my senior year where I proudly serve this chapter in as many places possible. I have had the opportunity to participate and be competitive in the Meats Judging and Agriscience contests at the state and national levels. Overall, I’m ready to serve all of this year and excited to see what this year will bring.


Harley Hall- Secretary

Hi, I’m Harley Hall your 2019-2020 chapter secretary. Last year I was one of the chapter delegates and had an amazing time being on the team. Over the past two years, I've been in FFA I’ve been a member of the meats judging team. I have also done multiple public speaking competitions such as opening and closing and impromptu. I have also shown lambs and steers at fair. I am excited about this school year and more good times to come.


Cole Fockler- Treasurer

Hi, my name is Cole Fockler and I am your 2019-2020 El Capitan FFA chapter Treasurer. I am a Junior this year and this is my 3rd year in the FFA. I have shown pigs at the Eastern San Diego County Jr. Fair for the past 2 years and I plan to show 2 pigs and a few goats this year at the fair. I also compete on the Farm Power team. Lastly, I have an Oat Hayfield that I tend to every year. Outside of FFA I play football and baseball for our school as well as participating in V-Crew and volunteering in our community. I am very excited to serve you this year.


Riley Davidson- Reporter

Hi, my name is Riley Davidson and I am the 2019-2020 chapter reporter. I have a great passion for FFA and showing animals. This is my 3rd year in FFA, and I have had the opportunity to serve as one of last year’s delegates. I have been a part of many CDE teams such as farm records, livestock judging, dairy cattle judging, and farm power. The LDE competitions I have competed in are creed speaking, impromptu speaking, and parli-pro. Outside of school I am either hanging out with friends or practicing with my show animals to get them ready for fair. For the past 11 years, I have been a part of Japatul 4H. I am extremely excited to be serving my community and chapter this year, and I hope everyone enjoys what we have to offer!


Drew Niccum- Sentinel

Hi, my name is Drew Niccum and I'm serving as the El Capitan FFA Chapter Sentinel. For the past three years, I've competed in agriscience and meats judging. I have raised and shown market hogs at the county fair. Some conferences I've been to include State Conference and National Convention. I am also involved in the Roots and Shoots club which holds community service events for students at El Capitan.


Megan Castaños- Delegate

Hi, my name is Megan Castanos and I am one of your 2019-2020 chapter delegates. This year I am a sophomore and have raised and shown 2 market pigs for the fair. I started my FFA journey at Lakeside middle school and helped start the chapter. I have done opening the past 2 years and I'm also on the meats judging team. 


Monica Ferris- Delegate

Hi, my name is Monica Ferris, I am currently a sophomore at El Capitan High School and this year I am serving as one of the chapter delegates. This my 3rd year in FFA and my SAE projects are market steers along with a breeding cavies. This year I will also be doing an oat hayfield. Throughout my years in FFA so far I have participated in opening and closing all three years, parliamentary procedure for a year, and the livestock judging team. My hobbies outside of FFA include traveling California and Arizona jackpotting swine with my show team and steers. Last year at the Eastern San Diego County Fair I won reserve champion heavyweight beef, 3rd in beef showmanship, Supreme Champion cavy, 1st in cavy & swine showmanship.


Kristine Krantz- CTE Ambassador

Hi! My Name is Kristine Krantz and I am your 2019-2020 CTE Ambassador. In my three years in the FFA, I have shown Market Hogs. I have also participated in the meats judging team and have attended many leadership conferences such as Made For Excellence, State Convention, and National Convention. FFA has truly shown me what it means to be a leader. The FFA has offered me so many new opportunities and I can’t wait to see what more this organization has to offer.



Ashlynn Wilson- Historian

Hey! My name is Ashlynn Wilson and I am your 2019-2020 FFA historian. This will be my fourth year in the FFA and I'm so happy to have been elected to serve El Cap this year! Throughout my FFA career, I’ve shown cattle and pigs along with being on the Parliamentary Procedure team for all four years. On the Parli Pro team, we have reached the state level three years in a row and went to California State Convention twice. Last year at the Lakeside fair I got reserve champion lightweight market hog along with reserve grand champion prospect steer, in showmanship I made my way to masters and ended with a sixth overall. I can’t wait to end my senior year competing in Livestock Judging, Parli Pro, and overall fair all while maintaining an oat hayfield as well.
